According to his sources, Capcom wants the tenth mainline entry to be the scariest and most disorienting the series has produced, built around fully isolated, semi-open locations paired with oppressive psychological horror and near-constant pursuit sequences rather than combat set pieces.
Marcox also states the protagonist will be an entirely new character, with franchise mainstays Chris Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy positioned as mentors rather than leads — a shift that would make sense given how far both characters have aged within the series’ internal timeline.
